How do I know it will fit my boat?

Every shade is patterned in 3D to the exact measurements you send us, and we confirm those numbers with you before we cut anything. If something looks off, we call you first. That is our Perfect Fit Guarantee, backed by 52 years of getting it right.

Do I need the full kit, or just the shade?

If your boat has nothing on it yet, take the full kit: it includes the poles, the quick-release mounts, the hardware and the rope, from $1,895. If you already run track under a hardtop or bridge, or you have poles you are happy with, you only need the panel. Shade only starts at $845 and we sew the edge to match what is already on the boat, whether that is keder rope, grommets, snaps or clips.

How hard is the install?

Easy. The mounting hardware attaches to your T-top with four screws or fewer, sometimes none at all, and your poles set into the rod holders you already have. We send a length of rope that threads through everything so you can pull the shade taut. Once it is set up, the shade goes up in under 60 seconds and stows just as fast.

How long until I have my shade?

We ship your poles and hardware first. As soon as you send your measurements, we build your shade in just a few days. Most customers have their whole system flying in two weeks or less.

Do you ship anywhere in the country?

Yes. We build every shade by hand in Delray Beach, Florida and ship anywhere in the United States. Shipping is free.

Do you charge sales tax?

Only in Florida. If your shade ships anywhere else in the country, there is no sales tax on your order. Florida orders have sales tax added at checkout once you enter your address.

What is it made of?

Premium Stamoid marine fabric, and nothing else. It is 100% waterproof, blocks 100% of UVB, and is backed by a 5-year warranty. In practice it lasts a good deal longer, because a Sunshade is deployed for a few hours at a time rather than left standing in the sun year round, and the shades we have built have run 10 years and more without fading or mildew. We sew it with 100% PTFE lifetime thread that will not rot in the sun, and rig it with all-stainless quick-release hardware. Poles come in carbon fiber or stainless steel.

Why do you only offer one fabric?

Because after 52 years of marine canvas we have not found anything better over a boat. Stamoid pulls tight and clean every single time, blocks 100% of UVB, and lasts for years in full sun. We would rather stand behind one fabric we believe in than hand you a menu and let you pick the wrong one. There is no upgrade to buy and no cheaper option to regret.

Can I choose the color?

Yes. We build every Sunshade in Stamoid, so there is no fabric to pick, but the color is entirely yours. It comes in 14 colors, from Snow White through Navy and Black, and we can color-match your cushions, upholstery, existing canvas, or hull. We can even add custom embroidery, like your boat name or logo. Just note it in the box when you order, or tell us after and we will walk the options with you.

What if I measure wrong?

You are covered. We review every measurement before building, and if a shade ever does not fit right, we will remake or adjust it. We stand behind the fit.
